Sorry if I just gave you whiplash. We've ultimately decided to stay in Alaska and buy our first and, hopefully, only house right here. Once we decided on Maine, it all just became too traumatic and the numbers didn't crunch for us. We're Alaskans! And that's all there is to it. I'm going to miss hanging out with the Amish though. I've learned so much from reading about them.
.
In the meantime, I feel a little better each day, but it's not fast enough to suit me. You know, I really thought having four children would teach me patience, but it appears the Good Lord figured I needed to know a little more about the subject. I'm told these things can take months to heal up.
.
Now looking for our home sweet home in which to raise our rowdy offspring and lots of chickens too.
.
Miss writing my stories so much! If there's one thing I've learned about this business, though, it's vital to be tenacious and necessary to be highly adaptable. So, I will come back! I will!
.
Have a gorgeous summer.

Offline Update: We're Moving to Maine! We're Gonna Live Next Door to the Amish!
Okay, my pain level is down to two on a scale from one to
ten, but only if I don't do anything with my hands. Yesterday, I made macaroni
and cheese from scratch for dinner and it just about destroyed me. So, I’m
writing this with my Dragon software and my daughter will cut and paste to my
blog.
Exciting news!
My husband’s airline is moving us to Maine! This is very
exciting yes I do love Alaska very much and will miss it terribly. This morning I
was looking out the window and wish it would snow and it did! I love to watch
snowfall first thing in the morning. I'm told Maine gets lots of snow too, but
they don't have polar bears. They do have puffins though! http://projectpuffin.org/
With my daughter’s help, I hope to post an update about once
a week. It's not very easy. Every time she laughed Dragon writes what she's
laughing that I tell her to stop laughing at a right something totally
disgusting and into out more energized by what she's laughing again and write
something stupid! The little children running and screaming behind us a Dragon
tries to write what they’re screaming about.
Daughter laughs and it tries to write that. Heavy sigh. Dragon needs a special device to
screen out the background noise of large herds of offspring.
At the next update wish me well, pray for me, and send good
vibes. I do check e-mail about once a day with help of course. I miss writing my stories, but I am working on them in my imagination. Hopefully, this chapter in my life will enrich and deepen my stories so they'll be lots better than they might've been otherwise.

Offline
Okay, I'm dictating this to my daughter, period. And she thinks it's redonkulous. I'm going offline for medical reasons and because we're moving to Mars. (HEYYYYYYYYYY!!!!) I may be back in a few days, a few months, or a few eternities, I don't know. Don't pray and don't send me good vibes cuz the world's ending and we're all dying anyway. (HEY! Knock it off!) Well, at least this dictator person has a sense of humor! So much for DRAGON!!! ***heavy sigh*** I love this dictator WAAAAY more than Dragon! (STOP IT!!! No pudding!!!) Awwww, moooooom!!!
Seriously though, comma, prayers and good harry potter! (NO COOKIES EITHER!!!)

The Village - a sample of terrifying storytelling
The most terrifying thing about this story is even when I figured out what the creatures really were, they still scared the dickens out of me. Gosh, if only I could turn a tale like that! One day I will. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Village_(2004_film)

A New Groove
Good morning, Blog Buds! I will be restarting my online activity tomorrow, centered on my use of Speech Recognition Software. http://www.nuance.com/for-individuals/by-product/dragon-for-pc/home-version/index.htm I'd say I'm at about eighty percent with it. I can do almost all my writing with it. Navigating the Web is much trickier to learn. Even so, my Tendonitis-prone hands are relieved of almost all the stress which causes them to hurt.
.
I've written a new schedule for myself, which spaces my writing times throughout the day. That way, I'm not sitting at the computer for extended periods, which is also very hard on my whole body. I will begin by rereading what I've written so far for Blood, Dark and Sweet.
Since this is my first novel writing with Speech Recognition Software and I'm new to it, I don't know how quickly I'll move the story along. It's done in my head, but getting a story written down is work! I'll post and update the wordcount daily though.
.
I will be posting at this blog whenever there happens to be something noteworthy regarding my writing or promotional activities. However, I'll be posting to my Hobby Farm blog daily. Here is the addy- http://westfarthinghomestead.blogspot.com/
.
I'll also work on connecting my social network sites so that everything's faster and easier and, therefore, less painful for my hands. See you in the morning!

Speech recognition software
Hello! I am learning how to navigate the Internet with my new software. It takes a lot of practice, but it is worth it. I am hoping to begin writing full time again in March. Okay, I need to get back to work on this. I used the software to write this whole post. Pretty good time?

Kimber An is Hitting a Learning Curve
Good morning, Blog Buds! I'm going to be off-line most of the time for a while, except daily email checks. I need to rest my Tendonitis-stricken hands and also I need to practice using my Speech Recognition Software. Hopefully, with practice and care, I can be back to writing like crazy. Check out the software here- http://www.nuance.com/dragon/index.htm
